The mission we share

Rooted in the Word. Ready to serve.

A story beginning in 1919

The Pentecostal Church of God began in Chicago in 1919 with a commitment to evangelism, church planting, and taking the Gospel around the world. Its history connects generations of ministry with a continuing call to reach people with the message of Christ.

World Missions

PCG World Missions connects churches with missionary work around the globe. Prayer, relationships, opportunities to serve, and giving all support the shared mission. IndiaPCG brings that commitment into our churches, biblical education, and compassionate care in India.

Our Pentecostal foundation

Faith that shapes the mission.

The authority of Scripture

The Old and New Testaments are God’s inspired Word and the foundation for Christian faith and practice.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

We believe in one living God, eternally existing as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Salvation through Jesus Christ

Salvation is God’s gift, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection make reconciliation with God possible.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

PCG teaches that this gift follows the new birth, with speaking in other tongues as its initial physical evidence. The Spirit equips believers for witness and service.

A life of holiness and healing

God’s grace forms a holy life. We believe in divine healing and pray in faith for those who are sick.

The hope of Christ’s return

We await Jesus Christ’s personal return. This hope encourages faithful living and urgency in sharing the Gospel.

These brief explanations introduce the teaching expressed in the Pentecostal Church of God Statement of Faith.
